This Black Velvet Stage Coat is fully licensed through the Hendrix Estate and is made as a replica to the specifications of some of the Velvet Stage Coats that Jimi wore on stage. Jimi Hendrix had a real love of Velvet Stage Coats and often performed in them. He appeared to have some wardrobe influences from the Beatles Sargeant Pepper wardrobes only Jimi took it to the next level and had Velvet Stage Coats made that were sexy and stylish rather than being too colorful or garish.
This gorgeous Black Velvet Coat is 100 percent high quality Cotton Velvet and is fully lined in Black Poly Satin. The buttons have a Shield crest design on them and are a pewter tone metal. There are seven buttons up each side of this Jimi Hendrix Velvet Stage Coat, one metal button on each collar lapel and four on each sleeve cuff. Gorgeous brocade braiding accentuates the decorative metal buttons and the back has a split vent for style and comfort. The cool metal buttons and brocading are entirely decorative accents as the coat is meant to be worn open and does not button closed.
